Getting Started

RecordHTML is a hosted remote MCP server: there is nothing to install. 1. Add a remote MCP server with the URL `https://mcp.recordhtml.com` (Streamable HTTP). 2. Your client opens a sign-in page: sign in or create a free account and approve access. 3. The client lists five tools: record_html, get_recording, estimate_recording, list_recordings, delete_recording. Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http recordhtml https://mcp.recordhtml.com`, then `/mcp` to sign in. Claude / Claude Desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → https://mcp.recordhtml.com Headless agents can send an API key (https://recordhtml.com/settings/api) as `Authorization: Bearer <key>` instead of OAuth. Functions this server exposes to AI clients

record_html

Record a public URL, or an HTML document the assistant wrote, to MP4, WebM or GIF; waits and returns a signed video link.

get_recording

Get a recording’s status, report and a fresh video link; can wait for one that is still running.

estimate_recording

Check a request against your limits and capacity without recording or using quota.

list_recordings

List your recordings, newest first, with status and page links.

delete_recording

Delete a recording’s video files for good.
